Committee Introduction:
UNODC is committed to fight against illicit drugs and international crime. It was established in 1997 by merging the United Nations Drug Control Programme and the Centre for International Crime Prevention.
UNODC assists UN Member States struggling with illicit drugs, crime and terrorism. Specifically it has resolved to intensify efforts to fight organised crime and trafficking (illicit drugs, weapons, natural resources, counterfeit goods, human beings), corruption (private and public sector), drugs abuse, and terrorism.
